8th European Winter Finance Summit 2012

The European Winter Finance Summit is a joint initiative of financial economists from the Department of Finance, Accounting and Statistics at WU Vienna and the Department of Banking and Finance at the University of Zurich and brings together researchers in a Swiss or Austrian ski resort. The aim is to discuss and develop new ideas in any field of finance in a stimulating and relaxing environment. The 2012 conference is sponsored by NCCR-FINRISK.

We invite researchers to submit a paper electronically in pdf-format to submissions-skinance@bf.uzh.ch.
The submission deadline is November 1, 2011.
We welcome both theoretical and empirical contributions from all areas of finance. We aim to notify authors of accepted papers by December 5, 2011. There is no participation fee. However, all participants are expected to stay for the entire workshop at Sunstar Parkhotel, Davos. We have negotiated a favorite room rate of approx. CHF 260.00 (single occupancy of double room), including breakfast and dinner. A small selection of single rooms is available at a reduction of CHF 30.00.

Please note that the number of workshop participants will be limited to ensure an atmosphere conducive to the exchange and discussion of new ideas. Participants are expected to serve as discussants and to participate actively in the academic sessions.
